Position Title Correctional Case Manager (S)Location Avery/Mitchell Correctional Institution, Spruce Pine, North Carolina.Reporting To Correctional Programs Supervisor.Job Responsibilities Manage a caseload of male medium‑custody offenders, providing supportive counseling and follow‑up on questions and problems.Make recommendations to the classification committee and participate in case classification and program management.Develop and implement reentry and transition planning for offenders.Conduct audit and compliance activities, ensuring adherence to policy and performance measures for ACA compliance.Maintain quality assurance, record management, and collaborative communication with staff.Qualifications Associate's degree in Criminal Justice, Human Services, Recreation, or a related field from an accredited institution, **or** high school/GED diploma plus two years of custody experience within the North Carolina Department of Public Safety.Eligibility for certification by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education & Training Standards Commission.Must meet Criminal Justice Standards requirements (12 NCAC 09G .0302).Pass a criminal background check, drug screening, medical and psychological evaluations.Possess a valid driver's license.Preferred Skills Knowledge of supportive counseling techniques.Compensation and Benefits Salary range: $37,377–$65,408 (Grade NC07).
