Safety Officer

Our client, a leading alcohol distributor, is seeking a Safety Officer to join their team. As a Safety officer, you will be part of the safety management team supporting various infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to safety, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Jacksonville, FL

Pay Range: $27-38

Shift: Mon-Fri 3pm-11pm or Mon-Fri 11pm-7pm

What's the Job?

  • Ensure the job site is following all safety regulations and protocols.
  • Identify risks on the job site and create safety protocols based on those risks.
  • Conduct safety inspections throughout the infrastructure projects.
  • Provide training to contractors and conduct safety meetings.
  • Document and report safety incidents and concerns, including issuing safe work permits.

What's Needed?

  • Degree in Occupational Health and Safety preferred.
  • OSHA 30 Required & 500 Certification Preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a Safety Officer in construction required.
  • In-depth knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety codes.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
