Job Details Job Title: DispatcherLocation: Deer Park, TX 77536Reports To: Warehouse ManagerClassification: Non-ExemptSchedule: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM / 40 hours a weekSummary / Objective The Dispatcher position is responsible for ensuring that company owned/leased delivery vehicles are properly assigned, routed and tracked.Essential Functions Monitors the daily delivery scheduleBilling of customer loads, answering phones, auditing driver logsChecks for accuracy of invoice and load prior to departureRecords all in and out times and availability of vehiclesAssigns loads to drivers based on designated routes and driver locationsCreates and maximizes capacity by ensuring productive use of all assets, equipment and driversEnsures maximum productivity by achieving or exceeding Company-established goals by successfully routing vehiclesOperate a forkliftHelp load and unload delivery trucksMake emergency deliveries if neededCompetencies Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and ExcelDeadline-orientedDecision-making and problem-solving skillsOrganizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skillsMust be familiar with DOT hours of complianceMust be Class C certified and pass driver screening processSupervisory Responsibility The Dispatcher position does not have any direct supervisory responsibilities.Working Conditions Work Environment: This position works in a warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday, as well as exposure to temperature extremes, moving machinery and loud noise. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, and standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters and tape dispensers.Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee must continuously stand or walk. Regularly requires lifting/handling/carrying material or equipment of moderate weight from 5-20 lbs.Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30am-4:30pm. The employee must work 40 hours each week to maintain full-time status. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.Qualifications 2-5 years of experienceHS Diploma or GED requiredSpecialized skills training/certification may be required#J-18808-Ljbffr
