You will be responsible for scheduling and dispatching vehicles and drivers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of catering services to our airline clients. Your role is essential in maintaining the high standards of service and operational efficiency that LSG Sky Chefs is known for.Description of DutiesSchedule and dispatch vehicles and drivers for airline catering deliveries according to customer specifications and operational requirements.Monitor and track the status of dispatched vehicles to ensure on‑time delivery and adherence to schedules.Communicate effectively with drivers, airline clients, and internal departments to resolve any issues or delays promptly.Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, including driver logs, delivery schedules, and service reports.Coordinate with the operations team to optimize routing and delivery efficiency.Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental regulations.Handle emergency situations and adjust schedules as needed to accommodate changes in flight schedules or other operational disruptions.Provide excellent customer service to airline clients, addressing any concerns or special requests.Job Skills and QualificationsMust be able to read and write English.Good verbal and written communication skills.Must be accurate, organized, and have attention to detail.Must be able to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.Must have a good attendance record.Must be able to work with little or no supervision.Ability to lift and carry more than 50 lbs.Must have a valid driver's license.Must be able to obtain a SIDA badge and clear a 10‑year background verification to obtain a Customs Seal and Driver Seal.Ability to follow HACCP and safety regulations.Must be 21 years old or older.Must be able to pass a background check.High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in logistics, transportation, or a related field is a plus.Previous experience in dispatching, logistics, or transportation coordination preferred.Strong organizational and multitasking skills.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Proficiency in using dispatch software and other computer applications.Knowledge of local geographic area and traffic patterns.Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.Additional Eligibility Requirements and DetailsThis is a Union Position – must be willing to pay union dues after 14 days.Must be available to work a full‑time position, including weekends and holidays as needed.Must be able to complete the application/orientation process in English.Must be able to lift 25+ pounds occasionally, 50+ pounds frequently & 10+ pounds consistently.
