The Role at a Glance
The Agency Training Coordinator is responsible for scheduling and coordinating training dates and matching appropriate instructors to schedule classes. The Agency Training Coordinator will also be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Industrial Instructor Team as well as providing Instructional Training as assigned. In addition, the Agency Training Coordinator is responsible for logistics which may include ordering materials, shipping/or ensuring the shipping of training materials to class locations, locating places where classes can be held, shipping equipment. The Training Coordinator is responsible for maintaining the discipline and professionalism of the Agency Instructors, which may include initiating disciplinary actions as required in accordance with TEEX policies. The Agency Training Coordinator will conduct and document annual/semiannual evaluations for each Agency Instructor. The Coordinator will conduct, develop, and revise various Industrial fire training courses. Assists other instructors, coordinators, or programs. Develops and updates training aids, audio/visuals, student materials and lesson plans. Assists maintenance of fire field props as assigned, and inventory of course material and equipment. Positively and professionally interacts with staff and clients. Must follow and live by the TEEX Code of Conduct and follow our Stars Values.
This position reports to the Agency Training Manager.
Qualifications of the Role
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Two years of related experience in project coordination, curriculum development and/or delivery of training.
- Must have a valid motor vehicle operator’s license or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
- Must have a valid passport or ability to obtain within 180 days of employment.
- NFPA Instructor I Certification.
Equivalency: Will consider an Associate’s Degree with four years of related experience (Listed Above) OR a High School Diploma/GED with six years of related experience (Listed Above).
