Assignment to various student employee areas within Public Safety, including Foot Patrol/Safety Escorts, Parking Services Office, Parking Enforcement, Access Control, Dispatch, and Records, based on departmental needs. Safe Team Members will be cross-trained in multiple areas within Public Safety, providing opportunities to gain a wide array of experiences and skills relevant to campus safety and administrative support. This role offers exposure to various functions within Public Safety, supporting future advancement into specialized or supervisory positions within campus safety, law enforcement, or administrative services.
Duties Include:
- Performing foot patrol, safety escorts, and door checks during day (7:30 AM5:00 PM) and night (7:00 PM2:00 AM) shifts.
- Providing customer service in the Parking Services Office, assisting with parking permits, citation payments or appeals, and answering phones (7:30 AM5:00 PM, MonFri, some weekends).
- Enforcing parking regulations on university property using dedicated software and license plate recognition.
- Assisting with dispatch and surveillance monitoring, including answering phone calls and monitoring campus cameras.
- Supporting the Records Division with requests and general office work.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Must be an enrolled full-time student with a minimum 2.5 GPA and maintain GPA per policy. Must submit references and a resume for application consideration; incomplete applications will not be considered.
Working Hours and Days: 7:30 AM5:00 PM and night 7:00 PM2:00 AM shifts. 7:30 AM5:00 PM, MonFri, some weekends. Some evening hours.
