The selected candidate will serve as an SME in aerospace systems NDI and aircraft maintenance. This position will support the AF NDI Office by performing a variety of NDI-related functions, providing NDI analysis, and applying basic project management knowledge as requested.Location:Air Force Nondestructive Inspection Office (AFNDIO) at Tinker AFB, OK (Telework is not available for this position).Minimum Qualifications:P2 – Technology Transition AnalystBachelor's degree plus a minimum of three (3) years of experience OR seven (7) years of experience in the NDI field having previously held Level 2 or Level 3 certification(s) IAW NAS 410, ASNT, SNT-TC-1A (or equivalent)Experience leading projects and programsKnowledge of NDI lab requirements, programs, and equipment management practicesProficient in performing NDI process controls and management of the process control programProficient with fluorescent penetrant (methods c and d) and eddy current (surface scan and bolt holes rotary scan) inspection methods and documenting detailed inspection resultsAbility to read and interpret blueprints and drawingsTechnical writing skillsCompetent in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and able to complete required tasks with minimal assistanceProficient with Adobe AcrobatSelf‑motivated, independent working with impeccable judgementDue to the requirements of our research contracts with the U.S. federal government, candidates for this position must be a U.S. citizenAbility to obtain secret clearance within one year of hireWilling to travel (up to eight (8) weeks a year), as neededP3 – Senior Technology Transition AnalystAll P2 Minimum Qualifications as well as:Bachelor's degree plus a minimum of six years of experience OR a master's degree plus a minimum of five years of experience OR 10 years of experience in the field of NDI having previously held Level 2 or Level 3 certification(s) IAW NAS 410, ASNT, SNT-TC-1A (or equivalent)3+ years' experience managing an AF field NDI laboratory (served as NCOIC, Section Chief, Lab Supervisor, etc.)Advanced Microsoft Office skillsetAbility to draft drawings from CAD and 3D modelsPreferred Qualifications:P23+ years' experience working in or closely with the Air Force NDI Office (AFNDIO)Strong technical writing skillsExcellent verbal communication skillsProject management training or certifications and MS Project experienceFamiliarity with military materials, processes, and standardsKnowledge of and experience with additive manufacturing, CAD, and 3D modelingExperience supporting, performing, and/or managing NDI lab processes and methodsAbility to research, analyze, interpret, and apply rules, regulations, and proceduresDemonstrated self-starter with vision to see new ways of doing business (i.e., out of the box thinking)Experience interacting with civilian and government personnel, contractors, and interpreting and applying guidelines and requirementsPrior military service or DoD civilian experience, particularly with the U.S. Air ForceP3All P2 preferred qualifications plusModerate experience in manipulating 3D Scanner data (point cloud) using CAD/SolidWorksDocumented experience hours that meet or exceed NAS 410 Level 2 formal training and experience requirements in the five traditional methods (penetrant, magnetic particle, eddy current, ultrasonic, and radiography)Special Instructions to Applicants:To apply please submit a cover letter addressing each minimum qualification and any applicable preferred qualifications that you meet.Closing Statement:Informed by its Catholic and Marianist mission, the University is committed to the dignity of every human being.
