Hayt, Hayt & Landau, P.L. (HHL) is an established law firm in Florida and Georgia providing collection-related legal services to leading financial institutions and national companies. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our civil litigation team. This is an excellent opportunity for recent graduates or early-career attorneys to build practical legal skills, manage their own cases, and work with opposing counsel to negotiate resolutions. You'll also gain exposure to court proceedings as part of your daily work in a supportive, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
- Draft and review pleadings, motions, and legal documents
- Negotiate with opposing counsel to resolve cases
- Communicate with courts, clients, and internal teams
- Review cases for legal accuracy and compliance
- Maintain accurate case updates in internal systems
- Attend court hearings via Zoom as needed
- Manage assigned caseloads and meet deadlines
- Work closely with clerks and staff to move cases forward
