Job OverviewPrime Air is seeking a highly skilled and vigilant Flight Monitor to join our dynamic team. This critical role is central to our commitment to delivering packages safely, efficiently, and reliably through our advanced drone fleet.Key ResponsibilitiesContinuously monitor the status of all active drone flights within the assigned region using state‑of‑the‑art monitoring systems.Identify and respond to any deviations from planned flight paths or operational parameters.Ensure all drone flights comply with regulatory requirements and company safety policies.Coordinate with relevant teams to implement immediate response strategies to mitigate risks and resolve situations.Prepare and submit detailed reports on flight activities, incidents, and anomalies; provide feedback and insights to support continuous operational improvement.Utilize analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills while maintaining high attention to detail.Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills in a high‑pressure environment.Adhere to FAA regulations and Prime Air directives and processes.Basic QualificationsFAA Part 107 Remote Pilot CertificateHigh school diploma or equivalentKnowledge of weather patterns for flight operationsAbility to work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including nights, weekends, and/or holidaysCan carry/lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reachTravel up to 25% of the timeExperience interpreting flight monitoring systems or similar technical platformsExperience working with FAA regulations or similar technical platformsUnderstanding and application of FAA regulations and aviation policy and safety protocolsCan decode METAR readings, interpret weather conditions that may affect operations, and recommend appropriate actionsExperience working with computer systems and troubleshootingCan operate in environments with variable noise, temperatures, and weather, including outdoor and refrigerated conditionsDemonstrated record of good attendance and reliability for scheduled shiftsPreferred QualificationsExperience in aviation, drone operations, or a similar real‑time monitoring roleExperience with technical or engineering record‑keeping methods and toolsExcellent decision‑making capabilities under pressureExperience with risk assessment and mitigationAbility to multitask in a fast‑paced environmentPhysical RequirementsRequires the ability to carry/lift up to 50 lbs, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and frequently push, pull, squat, bend and reach.
