You possess strong communication skills, including verbal and written abilities, and can make quick decisions to solve problems. Your collaboration with team members, State Police, and Massport Operations is essential, requiring adaptability and a strong sense of professionalism and integrity.What you will do: Monitor pedestrian and vehicular traffic at assigned gates, ensuring all individuals and vehicles display valid Massport security badges and permits before entry.Conduct comprehensive inspections and operate screening equipment to detect prohibited items and prevent unauthorized access to secured areas.Issue Temporary Visitor Passes and Vehicle Tags after thorough background checks and maintain logs for vehicles requiring escorts and unusual occurrences.Enforce TSA and Massport compliance, complete necessary documentation, report major security violations, and serve as a member of the first response team when required.What you offer: 2+ years of police/security, military experience or law enforcement experience.Must meet Eligibility Path 1 or 2 (please see detailed job description below) Military: Minimum 2 years in Military Police, Special Forces, Installation Access Control, or Entry Control Points.Law Enforcement: Minimum 2 years experience plus either (a) graduation from a recognized police or correctional academy or (b) an Associate's/Bachelor's degree in criminal justice or related field.Ability to read, write, follow instructions, and demonstrate basic oral, written, mathematical, and manual skills including the ability to operate computer and machinery.WHAT WE OFFER Collaboration with colleagues at all levels of leadership from all different disciplines, from Aviation to Maritime and beyond.
