Conducts Public Safety training and development programs. First responder to all emergency incidents within the assigned facility. Responsible for the safe de-escalation of critical events and the use of sound judgment in the engagement with combative or escalating subjects. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) – RequiredWork Experience:2 years in general security, military, or other public safety experience where to actively carry a firearm in the regular course of duty – Requiredor an equivalence of training and job experience to support effective demonstration of responsible handling of weapons and use of force – RequiredLicenses and Certifications:DL NUMBER – Driver License, Valid and in State; Valid Drivers license & adhere to Piedmont's Healthcare Vehicle Safety Program policy 3500 Upon Hire RequiredIAHSS – Certification As A Security Officer within 1 Year – RequiredMust pass pre-employment psychological screening – RequiredMust pass and maintain all training requirements to maintain employment to include certifications in Firearms, Taser, ASP Baton, Mental Health First Aid, and others as directed – RequiredGeorgia Peace Officer Standards & Training (P.O.S.T.) certification – PreferredBusiness UnitPiedmont Henry Hospital#J-18808-Ljbffr
