Armed Security Officer - Temporary

Key ResponsibilitiesConduct regular patrols of assigned areas to identify potential security risks or hazardsDeter, detect, and respond to security threats or incidents professionally and appropriatelyControl access points and monitor premises to prevent unauthorized entryProvide emergency response including de-escalation, detainment support, or coordination with law enforcement when requiredMaintain accurate incident reports and documentationInteract with the public in a professional and respectful manner while enforcing site rulesCoordinate with local law enforcement or emergency personnel as neededQualifications and RequirementsExperience: Prior experience in Military Police, law enforcement, corrections, or comparable armed security role requiredLicensing: Valid armed guard license where required by state lawLegal authorization to carry and operate a firearm in accordance with applicable regulationsTraining: Certification in arrest control, restraint techniques, or equivalent defensive tacticsRegulatory Compliance: Understanding of applicable federal, state, and local security and firearm regulationsSchedule Flexibility: Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidaysPost-Offer Employment RequirementsBackground investigationDrug screeningVerification of credentials and licensesRole-related fitness‑for‑duty assessment conducted by a qualified third‑party professionalThese assessments are intended solely to determine an individual's ability to safely and effectively perform the essential functions of the position.Preferred QualificationsActive or recent federal security clearancePrior experience protecting federal or critical infrastructure sitesTraining in conflict resolution, crisis response, or security managementPreferred SkillsStrong situational awareness and attention to detailEffective verbal communication and de‑escalation skillsProfessional judgment and emotional composure in high‑pressure situationsAbility to document incidents clearly and accuratelyPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periodsAbility to respond to incidents that may require physical engagementAbility to lift or move objects up to 50 lbs as neededThis position plays a critical role in ensuring a safe and secure environment for our clients.
