Unarmed Bailiff

The Monroe County Sheriff's Officeis now accepting applications from qualified individuals, interested in joiningour team as the new Unarmed Courthouse Bailiff. This position reports to the BailiffSupervisor and will be responsible for security functions associated withmaintaining ingress/egress screening of visitors to the courthouse buildings,patrolling, emergency response, & and the prevention of criminal actswithin the Courthouse and Administration Center Buildings for Monroe County.

Minimum qualifications for the position are as follows:

• Must possess one (1) yearprevious experience and/or training involving security, law enforcement,or related field; or any equivalent combination of education, training, andexperience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilitiesfor this position
• Must possess a highschool diploma or GED
• Must possess a valid PAdriver's license
• Must be at least 21 yearsof age
