About the RolePremier Protective Security (PPS) is seeking an OPOTA Certified Armed Security Officer for our Columbus, OH location. The position is part‑time and offers a base pay of $20 per hour plus overtime opportunities.ResponsibilitiesActively monitor the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations.Preserve order and enforce regulations and directives pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.Provide customer service and information to client employees and visitors.Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly and with problem‑solving skills.Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter.Maintain vigilance, noticing potential risks or incidents on client premises.QualificationsMust be OPOTA Certified Armed Flex Security Guard in Ohio.Must possess a valid driver's license.Must have a personal firearm to carry on the job.Must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or have at least 5 years of verifiable experience (required for armed roles).Applicants will be subjected to a background investigation and drug screening in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.BenefitsEmployees receive medical, dental, vision coverage, and life insurance.Equal Opportunity StatementPremier Protective Security (PPS) is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
