OverviewRisk Management at Auburn University is excited to begin the search for a TES Fire Safety Technician! This job performs technical duties to include providing support for Auburn University environmental, safety and health programs. This job will support the area of Fire Safety.ResponsibilitiesMaintains a current inventory of all University portable fire extinguishers.Utilizes bar code software to perform monthly inspection of all University portable fire extinguishers including documentation of inspections performed, results found, and corrective steps taken.Manages the replacement or repair of worn, outdated or damaged fire extinguishers and parts.Duties will involve activity outside the office, including substantial walking and climbing, and will require a high degree of organization and time management skills.Regularly involves lifting, bending or other physical exertion.
