Job SummaryThe Aging and Disability Services Division (ADSD) is seeking a Social Worker 2 for its Adult Protective Services (APS) and Office of Community Living (OCL) programs in Carson City. The role may also include Social Worker 3 responsibilities in APS, with advancement possible after meeting qualifications and performance expectations.ResponsibilitiesDetermine eligibility and conduct home visits for clients in OCL to develop individualized care plans.Investigate reports of abuse, neglect, exploitation, isolation and abandonment of vulnerable adults for APS, initiating cases, conducting home visits, and making referrals.Use web‑based case management software to document client interactions and maintain accurate case histories.Assess and reassess client functioning, gather information from clients, families, and community contacts, and use screening tools.Develop case plans and coordinate services such as nursing, legal, financial assistance, and community resources.Monitor delivery of services, evaluate outcomes, and reassess client needs.Conduct multidisciplinary team meetings and coordinate with social, health, law‑enforcement, and community agencies.Provide crisis intervention and respond to emergency calls, reporting neglect or abuse as required.Offer technical assistance, training, and supervision to new or less experienced Social Workers and non‑professional staff.QualificationsValid license or provisional license as a Social Worker, Clinical Social Worker, Independent Social Worker, or Associate in Social Work.At least one year of professional case‑management experience equivalent to a Social Worker I in Nevada State service.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledge of federal regulations, state laws, and agency directives applicable to social services.Familiarity with investigative techniques, crisis intervention, and de‑escalation strategies.Ability to conduct interviews, assess client needs, and maintain client confidentiality.Skill in case planning, resource coordination, and interagency collaboration.Proficiency in using computer applications and case‑management software.#J-18808-Ljbffr
