The Surveillance Observer uses video surveillance to protect company assets and possesses knowledge of Surveillance operations. Responsible for electronic and covert surveillance activities in all areas of the Casino, Hotel/Resort, Longhouse Market, and Golf Courses. Observe, monitor and record events as they unfold at the Casino and other resort properties and parking areas. Disclose irregularities, variances from procedure, etc., to the immediate attention of the Surveillance Manager.Native American hiring preference for qualified candidates.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSOperates surveillance equipment and ensures accurate video documentation as it relates to irregular or deviant activitiesObserve for any illegal activities and violations of gaming regulatory requirements and resort policiesResponsible for the electronic and covert surveillance activities in all areas of the Casino, Hotel/Resort, Longhouse Market, and Golf CoursesDetect, document, and record suspicious activities within the Casino and other Resort propertiesCheck all equipment to ensure that it is in full working order and the documentation and notification of all faults to the Surveillance ManagerCompletes all required daily logs and reportsCommunicate with Security, Management, Tribal & State Gaming agencies, legal system and Human Resources – Following the chain of commandMust exercise confidentiality and discretion on a daily basisPerform miscellaneous duties as assignedMust follow all safety rules and regulationsFollow all general and department policies and proceduresQUALIFICATIONSHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent requiredTwo years gaming-related or gaming-enforcement experience preferredKnowledge of casino games preferredAbility to visually observe monitors for extended period of timeMust possess outstanding interpersonal communications skills to effectively interface with guestsand/or team membersProficient in using a computer or other CCTV equipmentAbility to operate standard office equipment, including but not limited to telephone systems, calculators, copiers and facsimile machinesStrong attention to detail, and a commitment to qualityHighly adaptable with the ability to adjust to change in a positive mannerAbility to apply basic mathematical concepts such as adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividingBasic computer knowledgeAbility to type reports and log entriesStrong organization, prioritization and multiple-tasking skillsWhy work for 7 Cedars?Nestled on the scenic Olympic Peninsula, 7 Cedars Resort Properties includes 7 Cedars Casino + Hotel, Cedars at Dungeness Golf Course, and the Longhouse Market & Deli.
