About this positionJob Summary:The Hotel Security Guard is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of guests, staff, and hotel property. This role involves patrolling the premises, monitoring surveillance equipment, responding to incidents, and enforcing hotel rules to provide a secure and welcoming environment for all.Key Responsibilities:Patrol Speakeasy restricted areas to detect and prevent security risks.Monitor security cameras and alarm systems; respond promptly to any suspicious activities or breaches.Investigate disturbances, emergencies, or accidents and document findings in detailed incident reports.Escort guests, customers and employees as needed for safety, especially during late hours or in emergency situations.Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.Enforce hotel/Speakeasy policies and procedures to ensure compliance with safety and security regulations.Respond to guest/customer complaints or requests related to safety with professionalism and discretion.Assist in crowd control and access management during events, conferences, or periods of high occupancy.Conduct safety checks on fire exits, doors, and emergency equipment.Maintain a visible presence to deter theft, violence, or vandalism.Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent.Salary expectations is $18.00.Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or military preferred (especially in hospitality or customer-service environments).Valid security guard license or certification (as required by local/state regulations).CPR and First Aid certification (preferred or required based on local standards).Strong observational and problem‑solving skills.Professional demeanor, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.Physical Requirements:Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods.Every Friday and Saturday w/alternate that works 1 to 2 days a month.6P-12A Fridays and Saturdays.Must be able to lift up to 25lbs and respond quickly in emergency situations.Ability to operate basic security equipment, such as radios and surveillance systems.Salary Information#J-18808-Ljbffr
