Shift: Thursday through Saturday, and every other Wednesday, 7 am to 7 pmThe Fleet Manager is responsible for dispatching loads to our customers.A Day in the life of a Fleet Dispatcher:Promote safety in all actionsControl and complete paperwork as requiredSafely plan driver trips around load/customer expectations and safety guidelinesCommunicate with drivers regarding company and customer requirementsRelay to customer service any issues that need to be relayed to the customerAssisting the drivers in planning routes and building loadsPrioritize loads for timely deliveryTrack and trace all current loads in transit and deliveriesAssign loads to drivers in a fair and equitable mannerAssisting the drivers with planning for the safe and timely transit of fuel by helping them maintaining legal hours of service/ELD logs throughout their trip to destinationCommunicate with drivers during check-ins throughout pickup, transit, and deliveryMonitor store inventoriesPut a friendly, professional face forward when dealing with not only the drivers, but customer service and all support staffCommunicate with CSC Manager, Asst. CSC Manager, and Customer Service Reps as requiredComply with all corporate policies and procedures and all health and safety policiesAdditional Responsibilities:Carry out other duties assigned by CSC Manager as requiredEducation & Experience:High School Education or equivalentOne year experience dispatching or in the customer service areaKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsKnowledge of DOT regulations, federal and state standardsAbility to prioritize and manage multiple projectsSelf-starter with detail oriented work habitsAble to maintain confidentialityDisplay professional demeanorGood interpersonal skills; able to work well with wide range of individualsDemonstrate dependability through good attendance and adherence to timelines and schedulesBasic computer skills (word & excel)Knowledge of basic company employment policies and proceduresPhysical Requirements:Sitting for long periods of time, walking, finger dexterity, feeling, repetitive motions, talking, hearing and visual activityOccasional lifting (up to 20 pounds)#J-18808-Ljbffr
