DISPATCHER (PART TIME)

Overview Crothall Healthcare is hiring a part-time Dispatcher. Location: Menino Pavilion at Boston Medical - 840 Harrison Avenue, Boston, MA 02118. Schedule: Part-time, Monday–Friday, hours may vary. Pay: $20.00 per hour. Prior customer service experience is required.Responsibilities Provides quality customer service with attention to detail.Applies knowledge of basic patient transport concepts, infection control practices, and proper body mechanics.Determines and develops dispatcher logic and transporter activities; transports patients when necessary.Directs the activity of the transport function and transporters to ensure timely task completion; monitors availability and follow-up on service and operations issues.Ensures requests are addressed efficiently and in line with departmental standards, priorities, and patient appointments.Acts as liaison between Patient Transportation and other departments.Assigns, collects, and distributes pagers; monitors daily sign-in/out procedures.Develops positive customer service relationships with patients, visitors, and staff; ensures accurate, timely dispatch of transport requests and maximum staff productivity.Resolves problems related to patient, visitor, staff, or employee complaints and recommends solutions for recurring issues.Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications Prior customer service experience required.Benefits Benefits for full-time and part-time positions include retirement plans, health and wellness programs, discount marketplace, copy/ID protection, pet insurance, and other voluntary benefits including critical illness, accident, and hospital indemnity insurance, legal services, and auto/home programs.Full-time positions also offer medical, dental, vision, life/AD, disability, commuter benefits, EAP, and FSAs.Associates may be eligible for paid and/or unpaid time off benefits in accordance with applicable laws.
