Security Officer (Armed) (Weekend)

The Security Officer works under the supervision of the DIRECTOR – Security and the Security Managers. The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for all persons, equipment, and physical property of Mosaic Life Care.ResponsibilitiesConduct patrols of the buildings and grounds, ensuring adequate access control and protection of caregivers and all Mosaic Life Care properties, and respond to armed threats, bringing a safe resolution to the threat or situation.Conduct inspections of the facilities looking for unsafe acts and/or conditions that threaten life safety.Operate in a stressful environment where persons have experienced life‑threatening injuries and death.Control persons who are behaving in an unacceptable manner via non‑violent physical crisis intervention techniques (CPI) or the approved Force Continuum action, or other accepted practices dependent upon the circumstances.Participate in positive public relations activities by providing assistance with information, directions, and vehicle management.Document activities and reports daily, providing information to leadership.
