Position Overview Amentum is seeking a Special Technical Operations (STO) SME to support Combatant Command Operations in the Information Environment (OIE) under the Apollo program. This position is contingent upon contract award. The selected candidate will integrate and synchronize sensitive capabilities, Special Access Programs (SAP), and advanced mission activities into joint planning and operational processes to ensure unified, compliant, and effective execution.Key Responsibilities Serve as lead STO SME responsible for integrating STO, SAP, and sensitive activities into CCMD planning processes.Integrate STO capabilities into joint planning efforts including CONOP development, COA analysis, wargaming, and plan transition activities.Coordinate STO planning and execution across operations, intelligence, cyber, and IRCs to ensure synchronization of sensitive activities.Manage and support the review, approval, and compliance processes associated with STO, aligning with applicable policies, authorities, and governance frameworks.Represent STO equities within planning teams, working groups, and interagency coordination forums to ensure inclusion of sensitive capabilities in operational design.Facilitate integration of STO into campaign plans, OPLANs, and attachments, ensuring alignment with operational objectives and commander intent.Coordinate with Joint Staff, OSD, CCMD directorates, and interagency partners to align STO activities with broader mission requirements.Ensure proper synchronization of STO with intelligence, targeting, cyber, and information operation activities to maximize operational effectiveness.Support identification of integration risks, gaps, and constraints associated with sensitive capabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.Provide expert advisory support to leadership on STO capabilities, limitations, and integration considerations within the operational environment.Required Qualifications Active Top‑Secret security clearance and eligibility for SCI and SAP/ACCM. US citizenship is required to obtain a Top‑Secret clearance.Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience (or advanced degree equivalency) in operations, intelligence, or related field.Demonstrated experience supporting Special Technical Operations (STO), Special Access Programs (SAP), or sensitive activities.Experience integrating sensitive capabilities into joint planning processes (JOPP, JOPES, or equivalent).Experience working at Combatant Command (CCMD), Joint Staff, or equivalent operational level.Strong understanding of planning processes, governance requirements, and compliance frameworks for sensitive operations.Experience coordinating across operations, intelligence, cyber, and interagency stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to integrate capabilities into CONOPs, OPLANs, and campaign plans.Experience supporting or managing review and approval processes for sensitive operations (e.g., RAP, SAP governance).Strong ability to translate complex technical or sensitive capabilities into actionable planning inputs for decision‑makers.Preferred Qualifications Completion of formal STO‑related training (e.g., Special Technical Operations Planner's Course or equivalent).Experience supporting SAP or ACCM integration at CCMD or Joint Staff level.Experience coordinating with OSD, Joint Staff, interagency, or coalition partners on sensitive activities.Experience integrating STO with cyber operations, intelligence activities, or information operations.Familiarity with policies, authorities, and oversight related to sensitive or compartmented programs.Experience supporting cross‑CCMD or multi‑theater operations.Experience participating in joint planning teams, working groups, and interagency forums.Demonstrated ability to identify and mitigate integration risks associated with sensitive capabilities.Strong background in operational planning, capability integration, and mission synchronization.Compensation $130,000 - $180,000 annually. The compensation range or hourly rate listed for this position is provided as a good‑faith estimate of what the company intends to offer for this role at the time this posting was issued.
