Security Guard (unarmed and armed)

Job Title: Security Guard (Veteran Preferred)Pay Rate: $17–$20 with regular SORA (unarmed); $25–$30 with armed license.Schedule: Full-time and part-time available.Position OverviewIronRock Security is seeking a reliable and experienced Security Guard in Lakewood. Willing to train military veterans through our SORA training partners with future interest in hiring as an armed guard. This role requires a strong presence, excellent communication skills, and prior experience with access control. The Guard will help ensure site coverage, support fellow officers, and maintain a safe environment for staff and customers.ResponsibilitiesManage and monitor access control points.Conduct regular patrols of the retail property.Perform occasional mobile patrols as needed.Write clear incident and daily activity reports.Support scheduling coordination and communicate staffing needs.Maintain a professional and customer-friendly presence.Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies appropriately.RequirementsMilitary or security experience required.Access control experience required.Valid driver's license required for periodic mobile patrols.Strong communication and report-writing skills.Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor.Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.BenefitsWeekly pay.Medical insurance available to full-time employees working 30+ hours; IronRock pays 50% of the employee-only medical premium.
