Job Summary:The Firefighter will be responsible for responding to emergency situations, including fires, accidents, and other incidents. They will work as part of a team to extinguish fires, rescue individuals, and provide medical assistance as needed. The Firefighter will also be responsible for maintaining equipment and ensuring that all safety protocols are followed.Key Responsibilities:Respond promptly and safely to all emergency incidents. Participate in fire suppression operations, including structural, wildland, vehicle, and other fire incidents. Perform emergency medical care within the scope of certification and department protocols. Participate in rescue operations including vehicle extrication, technical rescue, water rescue, and other specialized incidents as trained.Operate firefighting and rescue equipment safely and effectively. Assist with incident stabilization and property conservation efforts.Follow all orders from the Incident Commander and supervisory personnel.Perform daily, weekly, and monthly inspections as assigned. Maintain assigned apparatus, equipment, tools, and facilities in a state of readiness. Report equipment deficiencies or safety concerns immediately through the proper chain of command. Assist in cleaning and maintaining stations, grounds, apparatus, and equipment.Attend and actively participate in all required training sessions, drills, meetings, and continuing education programs. Maintain all required certifications and licenses. Demonstrate proficiency in firefighting, EMS, rescue, and departmental procedures.Conduct oneself professionally while representing the Spring Creek Fire Department. Participate in public education, fire prevention, community outreach, and department-sponsored events. Provide courteous and respectful service to citizens, visitors, and fellow members.Follow all departmental Standard Operating Guidelines (SOGs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), policies, and directives.Maintain confidentiality of department and patient information as required by law and policy.Perform other duties as assignedQualifications:High school diploma or equivalentCompletion of a firefighter training program and TCFP certificationValid Texas driver's licenseAbility to pass a background check and drug testExcellent communication and teamwork skillsPhysical fitness and ability to perform strenuous tasks#J-18808-Ljbffr
