Employees must be able to work shifts, holidays, weekends, nights, and mandatory overtime.ResponsibilitiesAnswer emergency and non‑emergency calls for police, fire, and other city services; prioritize and dispatch appropriate units; perform related record‑keeping and clerical work.Provide life‑saving instructions and calm to callers; dispatch animal control and public service requests.QualificationsTwo years of public contact experience (in person or telephone) with aptitude for multitasking.High school diploma, GED, or higher education level.Valid California driver's license where required.Must obtain California Peace Officers Standards and Training Commission (P.O.S.T.)
