Outstanding Opportunities An Army neurologist is a medical officer in the U.S. Army who specializes in diagnosing, treating, and managing neurological disorders in Soldiers and other military personnel. Your performance will include a specific focus on the unique health challenges that military members may face due to the nature of their work, training, and combat experiences. As an Army medical officer, you may work in the clinical Neurophysiology laboratory and interpret studies, train other personnel and medical school faculty, and brief cases involving complex neurological conditions. You will have opportunities for continued education programs that will prepare you for your role as a military officer and healthcare professional. You may also participate in seminars and conferences with other Neurologists to learn about advancements in technology and treatments, and brainstorm ideas for the betterment of your patients and the Army as a whole.
