Intake And Court Specialist

The intake and court specialist role is key in facilitating the enrollment of incoming clients into the families rising alternative to incarceration program. Specialist will complete intakes for all incoming clients and ensure that all required paperwork and materials are completed and obtained. Specialist will also cover court related duties for new and enroll. Covering court appearances for new and incoming clients: Ensuring that clear and appropriate compliance updating is being delivered. Providing clear updates to leadership on court appearances for new and existing clients. Completing intakes with new clients in their home, or in the community. Entering all intake related materials in the appropriate databases and ensuring that clear updates are sent to leadership and therapeutic team. Networking with stakeholders to assist in receiving referrals. Coordinating with stakeholders on navigating possible referrals through understanding what slots are available. Assist in the screening of new cases by speaking to incoming client and families to describe services and obtain their consent. Qualifications

Social work setting, bachelor's degree in social work psychology sociology. The expectation for travel in queens and nassau county long island. Mental health counseling or related subject area previous experience completing intakes in a client facing setting. Experience working in a court setting, developing skills to communicate professionally in verbal and written manner previous experience working in criminal justice services. Cultural competency: Understanding different backgrounds and cultures of clients we work with. Ability to complete tasks in a flexible manner. Last minute tasks may arise, ensuring that all workers can cover tasks in appropriate and professional manner. This position requires field work - walking in the community to commute to client homes and court related needs.

Education Required

Bachelor's degree from a U.S. accredited educational institution or credential evaluation for a non-U.S. educational institution.

Salary Range:

$54,105.90 + 3,500 bilingual additive + 3,800 education additive.
