Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Install, service, or upgrade kitchen suppression systems in commercial and residential buildings.

  • Test and repair systems already in place.

  • Service, inspect, recharge, maintain, or test portable fire extinguishers.

  • Must be flexible with scheduling requirements that occasionally will require early morning, evening, weekend and/or out-of-town assignments.

  • Perform inspections to ensure suppression systems are installed according to code.

  • Complete detailed inspection reports, documenting any issues.

  • Report results of work completed in an accurate and timely manner.

  • Inspect and maintain the truck and all related equipment, putting in repair requests as necessary to maintain safe operation.

  • Work in a safe manner as outlined by company safety procedures including driver safety and personal protective equipment.

  • Respond to emergency service calls.

  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace.

  • Must have good interpersonal skills and be able to work in a team environment as well as work independently.

  • Must have a clean driving record.

  • Must be flexible with scheduling requirements.

  • Requires the ability to display knowledge of principles and practices of fire safety.

  • Requires the ability to interpret, apply, and explain applicable laws, codes, and regulations.

  • Requires the ability to maintain accurate records and reports.

  • Requires the ability to use or repair small/light equipment, such as power tools, ladders, medium equipment and machinery.

  • Perform other duties assigned by management.


Education/Qualifications:

  • 2 + years of experience with commercial and residential fire suppression systems required.

  • Highly prefer a California Fire Extinguisher Certificate of Registration issued by CAL FIRE – Office of the State Fire Marshal (OSFM).

  • Experience with Ansul, Pyrochem, Amerex, Buckeye and Kiddie systems highly preferred.

  • NICET Level I or above preferred.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage assigned tasks.

  • Strong understanding of portable fire protection equipment and applicable codes.

  • Must have a clean driving record and active driver's license (if driving role).


Other Duties:

  • Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.

  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, climbing ladders, and working in various environments.

  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds.

  • Work performed in commercial, industrial, and construction environments.

  • Exposure to varying conditions including heights, confined spaces, and active job sites.

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work for extended periods.

Pay Range:

  • $30 to $40 hourly DOE
