Job Description
- Develop and submit comprehensive proposals, including budgets, schedules, and overall project approach
- Manage subcontractor Invitation to Bid (ITB) process
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and scope analysis
- Lead subcontractor scoping and bid leveling to ensure complete coverage
- Support project buyout and subcontractor contracting post-award
- Track market conditions and competitive advantages to strengthen bid strategy
- Identify and resolve cost discrepancies through data analysis
- Source and validate pricing for materials and systems to produce accurate estimates
The Successful Applicant
- 3-7 years of experience in construction or a related field preferred; strong entry-level candidates with the right attitude are encouraged
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline preferred (or equivalent hands-on experience)
- Foundational understanding of budgeting, cost control, and basic accounting principles
- Ability to read, interpret, and work from blueprints and construction documents
- Exposure to project management processes and workflows is a plus
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience with industry tools such as Procore, On-Screen Takeoff (OST), and BuildingConnected is a plus
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
