Gate Guard
Full-Time position: 40 hours (including weekends)
Salary: $20.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Sunday, including weekends, must be available to work 2pm - 10pm.

Leisure World of Maryland Corporation (LWMC), the property management company for Leisure World of Maryland, is a private, age-restricted community comprised of 29 community associations representing over 5,600 homes and extensive Trust operations, located in Silver Spring, Maryland has immediate openings for Gate Guards to work 2:00pm to 10:00pm shift. The schedule includes weekends and it is subject to change based on operational needs.
The ideal candidate should have a high school diploma/general education degree (GED). They should also have 1-3 years of related experience, and/or training preferred but not necessary.
Please Note: New hires will train on a variety of shifts which includes a midnight shift, 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM. Employees will continuously work on a variety of shifts and all schedules are subject to change based on operational need.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Ability to recognize when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong.
- The ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time without being distracted.
- The ability to see details both close range and at a distance.
- The ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences (English).
- Ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand.
- Ability to observe, receive, and otherwise obtain information from all relevant sources.
- Ability to enter, transcribe, record, store or maintain information in written or electronic form.
- Ability to provide information to supervisors, co-workers, by telephone, in written form, e-mail, or in person.
- Ability to consistently provide a high level of accurate work delivered in a timely manner.
- Ability to prioritize work assignments. Ability to identify and respond to customer needs in a courteous manner.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely verbally and in writing.
- Computer literate and knowledgeable using Microsoft Office and Excel or comparable software.
