Cost Analyst/Estimator – TS/SCI Clearance w/CI Poly RequiredLocationChantilly, VAJob DescriptionLeffler Consulting is seeking a Cost Analyst/Estimator to join our team in Chantilly providing support to national security satellite ground systems. This position is an immediate opening and will reside full-time on-site with the government customer. An active Top Secret/SCI clearance with a CI polygraph is required.DutiesApply the principles, theories, and methods of cost estimation and analysisDevelop cost estimates, collect data, and develop models/methods for space systems and their associated ground and launch systems across multiple space related product linesPerform cost estimating using parametric approaches, with preference for space system experience (including software estimating)Conduct tool development using COTS (i.e., Microsoft Excel), custom code, or FOSS (i.e., R, Python)Utilize product-oriented Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) to evaluate technical baseline, assumptions, and risksPerform forward pricing rate and corporate indirect rate analysisConduct assessments on program cost, technical, and schedule baselines, identify key cost and technical risk areas, and translate the risk areas into program cost impactsSupport development of program office estimates to support the annual budget buildAffordability assessmentsAnalysis of AlternativesData collection and normalizationPerform cost improvement curve analysis, uncertainty analysis, and inflation analysisApply advanced statistical techniques and interact with customers and colleagues expertly and effectively to resolve problemsApply leadership skills and the ability to manage competing priorities, multiple tasks, and work environmentsPerform other duties as assigned to support corporate and customer initiativesSkill SetStrong analytical background and good interpersonal skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsAttention to detail and qualityRequired EducationBachelor's degree in engineering, physics, operations research, cost analysis, mathematics, finance, economics, business administration,or similar quantitative field.Required ExperienceYears of required cost estimating experience vary according to position levelDesired EducationRefer to Required Education#J-18808-Ljbffr
