Safety Worxs is seeking an experienced Project Safety Assistant (PSA) to support a large-scale building construction project. This role is responsible for leading all on-site safety efforts, driving proactive risk management, and ensuring full compliance with OSHA construction standards and project-specific safety protocols.ResponsibilitiesSupport implementation and enforcement of the Project Safety Management Plan (PSMP)Conduct daily field inspections, hazard assessments, and safety auditsAssist with incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actionsSupport project safety orientations, toolbox talks, and weekly safety meetingsReview Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), permits, and subcontractor safety documentationMonitor high-risk activities including excavation, confined space entry, crane operations, electrical work, and fall protectionMaintain project safety documentation, records, and reporting requirementsWork closely with project leadership, subcontractors, and owner representatives to reinforce site safety expectationsAssist with enforcement of project safety requirements and corrective actions in the fieldExercise stop‑work authority when unsafe conditions or behaviors are identifiedQualificationsMinimum 5 consecutive years dedicated solely to building construction safety experience requiredCandidates with a 4‑year degree in a construction safety discipline must possess at least 1 year of actual field experience in building construction safetyCSP, CHST, or other nationally recognized safety certifications may be considered toward experience requirementsOSHA 510, OSHA 500, or OSHA 502 certification required and must be current within 5 yearsCurrent CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications requiredProfessional Knowledge & Continuing EducationFall protectionScaffolds (supported and suspended)Excavation and trenchingConfined space (permit and non‑permit)Crane operations and basic riggingElectrical safety and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO)Fire protection and preventionRespiratory protectionBenefits & CompensationFull‑time positionHealthcare benefits paidDental and vision insurance401(k) at 4% matchApprox. 2‑year project$40,000 – $45,000 depending on experience#J-18808-Ljbffr
