Firefighter candidate finalists must successfully pass a fire-related physical agility test, background investigation, psychological and medical examination.MEDICAL STANDARDS:After a job offer has been made, but prior to beginning work with the Hoover Fire Department, candidates must pass a NFPA 1582 qualifying medical examination. Candidates will be rejected for any condition that will prevent them from performing in a reasonable manner, with or without accommodation, the duties of Firefighter.
