$2,500 Death Row IncentiveLocation: Broad River Security FacilityResponsibilitiesProvide direct supervision of all unit activities and functions.Conduct security, safety, and health inspections at least every 30 minutes on an irregular basis.Record these security checks in the Edisto logbook and the Zebra Scanners.Maintain and report inmate count and daily logs; prepare and submit miscellaneous reports.Maintain surveillance and search for contraband.Maintain and inspect the building for cleanliness and sanitation; requisition and direct issuance of supplies, tools, and equipment; maintain inventory of equipment.Ensure that inmates receive prescribed medical and behavioral treatment.Maintain and operate security devices in a security setting, such as gates, doors, weapons, and mechanical devices.Report inmate complaints so that appropriate action may be taken.Serve as backup for any dorm/building dispute requiring assistance and crisis intervention; make reports to appropriate personnel.RequirementsMust have 12 months or more experience in corrections with SCDC.Must be a U.S. Citizen.Must be 18 years of age or older.Must be a high school graduate or possess a GED.Must possess a valid driver's license.Must have tattoos that are not offensive or gang‑related and are not visibly located on the face or head (tattoos on the neck are evaluated on a case‑by‑case basis).Must pass a physical examination administered by SCDC.Must be certified.The South Carolina Department of Corrections is committed to providing equal opportunities to all applicants and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy), national origin, age (40 or older), disability or genetic information.#J-18808-Ljbffr
