Marine Technicians And Master Technicians
We are partnering with a growing marine service and repair organization in the Sarasota, FL area who is seeking Marine Technicians and Master Technicians to support inboard/outboard (I/O) engine services and repairs. The company is a Mercury Marine Platinum Certified Dealer and Premier Service Center, and Repower Center specializing in the diagnostics and repair of Mercury Marine Outboard, MerCruiser, and the new V-12 engines. Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair/replace engines, electrical systems, heating, ventilation, and other components as needed
- Use diagnostic equipment (G3) to test and repair boat engines and other needs
- Conduct thorough assessment prior to performing work including budgeted time and estimated completion
- Complete maintenance and repair on boats and other watercrafts up to 24-50 ft long (large center consoles and large stern drives) including routine maintenance (100 Hour Services)
- Perform testing and sea trials as required
- Travel to marinas and private slips to perform mobile repairs
- Effectively and professionally communicate with customers, peers, and Service Department, providing accurate and detailed work orders
- Act as a mentor and coach for team of Marine Technicians
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience as Marine Technician working on inboard/outboard and stern drive engines
- Must possess current Mercury Outboard and MerCruiser Certifications; experience working with Mercury warranty, repair and other procedures required
- Superior proficiency in electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills, including diagnostic tools
- Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to diagnose and repair complex issues
- Valid driver's license, insurance, and clean driving record required
- Ability to work in Florida weather conditions, specifically high temperatures
- Ability to ascend/descend ladders, work in confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs.
