Surveillance & Access Control Technician
Our client, a government agency specializing in security and facilities management, is seeking a Surveillance & Access Control Technician to join their team. As a Surveillance & Access Control Technician, you will be part of the Facilities SupportDepartment supporting the Security Systems Team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills, problem-solving abilities, and adaptability, which will align successfully in the organization.
Location: Madison, WI - Hybrid
Duration: 12+ months with highly possible extension
What's the Job?
- Provide documentation, project tracking, and management reporting for security systems projects.
- Support surveillance, network, and server systems with extensive experience in planning, installation, and troubleshooting.
- Contribute strategic and tactical input on overall systems planning and related projects.
- Perform system support at multiple state-wide locations, including secure sites, often independently.
- Maintain detailed system documentation and ensure system integrity and security.
What's Needed?
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in surveillance, network, and server support or related fields.
- Knowledge of Cisco Networking (Routers & Switches) with at least 3 years of experience.
- Experience with Web Filtering technologies such as Palo Alto and Zscaler (1-2 years).
- Knowledge of Video Surveillance systems (Network/Server/Workstation) with 1-2 years of experience.
- Willingness to work in a hybrid schedule with on-site presence at facilities and prisons as needed.
