Loss Prevention Agent

Salary: $24.50 / hour. Location: Ontario, CA. The offered salary or salary range is based on factors such as overall experience, relevant experience, education level, certifications, applicable skills and expertise, and location of the position.Position Overview UNIQLO Loss Prevention is responsible for maintaining a safe shopping environment for all customers and employees. The Loss Prevention Agent plays a critical role in inventory management and shortage reduction, reporting to the Loss Prevention Manager and Store Manager. The role serves as an asset for protection and safety specialization within our stores.Key Responsibilities Train store team members on loss prevention and safety policies, procedures and standards, ensuring compliance from all store team members and notifying management of any violations.Ensure the LP team can successfully identify, apprehend and detain shoplifters by following company guidelines.Build productive relationships with store leadership team and associates.Lead associate awareness efforts and generate leads pertaining to internal investigations.Focus on the importance of proper inventory management and investigate issues while educating the team on proper procedures.Ensure compliance and understanding of shortage reduction strategies.Work with leadership to strengthen loss prevention culture and partner with the LP Manager to ensure compliance of company policy and procedure.Inspect compliance with company safety policy and procedures through store visits, providing direction and training to identify and correct opportunities.Identify safety or loss risks, immediately notifying store and loss prevention management to prevent accidents.Support loss prevention management with audits and inventory counts and keep full confidentiality at all times.Assist with special projects as assigned.Qualifications Strong knowledge of computer applications including security software, CCTV equipment, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Knowledge of federal, state and local law related to loss prevention.Knowledge of surveillance/security equipment and installations.Ability to travel to stores within the assigned area.Must be able to work for extended periods of standing or walking the sales floor as required.Physical Requirements Ability to effectively communicate with customers and store personnel.Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages.Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.Ability to stand for long periods of time, read computer terminals, push, pull or move objects of at least 50 lbs.Ability to maneuver around the sales floor and stockroom, with repetitive bending, prolonged standing, twisting, stooping, squatting, and climbing.Schedule Requirements Ability to work a flexible schedule that meets the business needs, including nights, evenings and weekends.Benefits Medical, dental, and vision coverage.401(k) plan – 100% match on the first 3% contributed, 50% on the next 2% contributed.Paid parental leave.Fertility benefits, including IVF.Life insurance.Short-term and long-term disability insurance.HSA/FSA options.Employee Assistance Program.Vacation & personal time off; sick & wellness time off.30% employee merchandise discount.Commuter benefits.Equal Opportunity Employer UNIQLO is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
