Confidential Administrator
This position reports to the Corporate Claims Supervisor - Systems & Support. Under the general direction of the Supervisor, position performs a variety of complex and specialized administrative, clerical and operational support assignments for the entire Corporate Claims department.
Job Responsibilities:
- Input and update information on all active, open and closed claim files.
- Handle calls/emails from claimants; elicit factual background information, and set up case files for assignment and investigation.
- Handle initial claim denials and avert potential complaints from claimants.
- File cases when no additional handling or assigning is needed.
- Handle calls from internal clients and designs claim assignment to the appropriate Corporate Claims Consultant/Specialist.
- Handle the set up and assignment of cases for Litigation (Summons & Complaints, Subpoena & Records requests).
- Process all incoming mail and intra-company correspondence and attaches pertinent back up material.
- Process financial transactions (e.g. claim checks) and routes to the appropriate level of management.
- Process Billing & invoices as well as Cancel and Rebilling.
- Prepare file documentation for Intra-Company Arbitration and decides inclusion of appropriate supporting case documentation.
- Maintain supplies and support the Corporate Claims Organization with clerical and administrative request.
- Uphold record retention on existing physical files (ex: Judgments/Minors).
- Provide support to the pole relocation function.
- Extract, prepare and update Monthly adhoc reports (Electric, Gas, Financials).
- Assist Legal Department with processing Expense, Releases as well as obtaining W9 Forms.
- Attend departmental meetings.
- Direct customer's calls/inquiries for non-claims related matters to the correct department for follow-up & resolution.
- Training new hires.
Job Specific Qualifications:
- High School graduate or 3 years operational and support experience.
- 6 months to 1 year experience in claims processing or related field (i.e. customer service).
- Technically proficient in Microsoft Office products: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook Calendar and Teams.
- Good typing and keyboarding skills.
- Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
- Excellent communication, customer service and telephone skills.
- Adaptable and a team player, capable of handling workloads and responsibilities in times of high claim volume.
- Ability to handle difficult customers.
- Must be able to interact with all levels of staffing within the Corporate Claims Organization.
- Ability to process basic transactions.
- Compliance with the Department of Energy's regulation 10 CFR 810 is required.
- Desired: Familiar with PSEG departmental and corporate administrative policies, practices and procedures. Familiar with applicable claims/legal software (i.e., Roxi CMS, SAP, iManage, Lexis Nexis, etc.). Demonstrated working knowledge of PSE&G operations. Claims and/or Insurance Industry experience. Bilingual.
