Security Guard - Behavioral Health - Full Time

In this role you will be:

  • Monitor facility grounds and interior spaces to ensure a safe and secure environment.
  • Perform regular security checks, patrols, and surveillance via security systems or physical rounds.
  • Respond promptly to incidents, disturbances, or emergencies involving patients, staff, or visitors.
  • Assist in de-escalating volatile situations using approved crisis intervention techniques.
  • Monitor and control access to the facility, ensuring only authorized individuals enter secure areas.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed incident reports, logs, and shift summaries.
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to support the safety needs of patients during interventions or transfers.
  • Escort patients, visitors, or personnel as necessary within or outside the facility.
  • Uphold confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times.
  • Report hazards, security breaches, or maintenance issues promptly.
  • Attend required safety and behavioral health training sessions, including CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) or equivalent.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school graduate required
  • Experience: Previous safety/security experience preferred
  • Licensure/Certification:
    • Valid PA driver's license
    • BLS preferred
