Position Summary
We are seeking professional and dependable Security Officers to staff a Class A downtown office building. Officers are responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for tenants, visitors, and property assets through visible patrols, access control, and prompt response to incidents.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and control access to the building, including visitor and contractor sign-in procedures
- Conduct routine interior and exterior patrols to deter and detect security concerns
- Observe, report, and document suspicious activity, safety hazards, and incidents
- Respond appropriately to alarms, emergencies, and tenant requests
- Enforce building rules, security procedures, and post orders in a professional manner
- Provide customer service to tenants and visitors while maintaining a security presence
- Complete accurate daily activity reports and incident reports
- Coordinate with property management, emergency services, and on-site staff as needed
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to remain alert and professional for extended periods
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
- Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred but not required
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to climb stairs and conduct building patrols
- Professional downtown office building
- Shifts may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
