We are seeking a Dispatcher to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for coordinating driver schedules, managing delivery routes, and ensuring customers receive exceptional service.

What You'll Do
- Coordinate, schedule, and dispatch drivers based on customer orders, delivery schedules, and operational priorities
- Ensure deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and within customer timeframes
- Monitor daily routes and proactively address scheduling conflicts or service issues
- Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, supervisors, and internal teams
- Handle a high volume of phone calls and data entry activities
- Identify priorities and utilize available resources to maximize operational efficiency
- Respond to customer inquiries, service requests, and delivery concerns in a professional manner
- Maintain accurate dispatch records and transportation documentation
- Keep drivers and team members informed of schedule changes and daily operational updates
- Support additional dispatch and logistics projects as assigned
What We're Looking For
- Experience in dispatch, logistics, transportation, customer service, or a related field
- Basic understanding of transportation operations; fuel transportation experience is a plus
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong data entry and computer skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Professional demeanor and customer-focused mindset
- Stable employment history
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and overtime as needed
- Must reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the assigned location
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in fuel transportation dispatch
- Experience with dispatch software, preferably SmartLogix
- SAP experience
- Knowledge of transportation documentation, industry terminology, and DOT regulations
