Overview
This position is responsible for assisting the Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) with administrative support for the Program Manager and LEPC Executive Committee. They will ensure all files are maintained and incoming calls are handled with excellent customer service. This position will also maintain relationships with vendors, local government and industry partners.
Responsibilities
• Responsible for purchases and maintaining relationships with vendors
• Assist with tracking expenses, and monitor purchase orders
• Ensure files and spreadsheets are up to date
• Supports to LEPC Program Manager with the LEPC social media pages
• Tracks updates to the LEPC Webpage
• Assists with creating flyers and outreach materials
• Will take notes and create minutes for committee meetings, support sub-committees as needed
• Assists with meeting/event set-ups and takedowns
• Assists with preparation of meeting materials
• Assists with LEPC annual report
• May be asked to perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
• Associates Degree (AA/AS); or 2 year technical certificate
• Two (2) years of experience
Required
• A valid driver's license is required; successful out-of-state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire

Employment is contingent on passing any post-offer pre-employment screening as listed below:
• Criminal Background Check: Yes
• Motor Vehicle Record Check: Yes
• Drug Screening: Yes
• Physical Exam: Yes
Basis of Rating
A recruitment consultant will evaluate all applications against the posted qualifications and may request additional information. The city may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.

- Non Exempt - Temporary, Part time (ranging in 10-16 hours per week)
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is a schedule requirement
