Position Title IDGC Museum Curator (Short-term contract position)Responsible to IDGC ManagerBackground The Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA) is a player‑run international nonprofit organization. There are 2 staff members based at the international headquarters in Appling, Georgia, USA and additional staff members who work remotely. The PDGA, with over 100,000 active members and hundreds of volunteers, is the governing body for the sport of disc golf, and sanctions competitive events for men and women of every skill level from novice to professional. Permanent disc golf courses are found in countries worldwide, as well as throughout the United States. This person will play an integral role in how the museum is set up and the experience visitors have while visiting the center. The ideal candidate will be detail‑oriented, creative, and will have a passion for the history of disc golf.Position Responsibilities Record and catalog the current contents of the museumDesign and plan the display and presentation of the museum contentsEnsure a high‑quality visitor experienceEssential Qualifications Knowledge of proper maintenance, organization, and research of archival collectionsA degree or experience in museum studies or a related fieldExcellent communication and project management skillsExcellent organizational skills; attention to detailAbility to work independentlyExperience in sports, recreation, and/or nonprofit sectorsDesired Qualifications Experience and passion for the sport of disc golfLocation On‑site at the International Disc Golf Center in Appling, GeorgiaCompensation $20 per hour for not more than 200 hoursApplication Deadline July 10, 2026#J-18808-Ljbffr
