Security Drop Officer
Security Drop Officers typically start at $18hr and average 15-20hrs a week. The drop typically starts at 4:30am.
Providing security for the drop process by escorting the drop team throughout the casino to maintain Missouri Gaming Commission's regulations. Also providing superior service to Harrah's guests by seeking out opportunities to be of service; maintaining highly visible patrols to ensure a safe gaming experience; assuring quality support to other departments so that they may serve guests more effectively; maintaining public order, enforcing safety rules, protecting property and assets, and investigating disturbances in the hotel and casino.
Typical duties will include, collaboration with the Countroom and Slot Performance teams, securing the drop zones, moving guests as needed from the drop zone area in a polite manner and notifying surveillance and MGC as needed throughout the drop process.
How You Will Create the Extraordinary
- Safety and Security – Officers are accountable for providing safety and security for our guests. Officers are to look for safety concerns (ripped carpet, spills, liquid on the concourse, broken glass, etc..) and report these concerns to Facilities or EVS for clean up or repair
- Readiness to Work – Officers will report to work in a clean, pressed, appropriate uniform.
- Officers must adhere to the appearance guidelines as described in the employee handbook, no exceptions.
- Teamwork – Offers to help, cooperates with employees within department, on other shifts and in other departments. Actively participates in buzz sessions and offers to work hours to assist with business demands.
- Open to Coaching - Make efforts to improve and learn from mistakes. Attends training and puts skills into practice on the job. Will ask for constructive feedback and will seek out ways to improve.
- May be required to perform Security Officer responsibilities in addition to above listed items.
- Applies first aid as deemed appropriate to employees and guests and provides immediate CPR/AED lifesaving, medical care as necessary.
What You Will Need
Ability to read, write and understand English.
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Must be at least 18 years old
Ability to demonstrate integrity and adhere to standards of a regulated business
Eligible to obtain a Missouri Gaming License, pass a background check and drug screening
Flexible availability: able to work any shift, including weekends and holidays
Professional, well-groomed appearance
Strong customer service and communication skills
- Basic computer skills: data entry and ability to interpret computer output

Work Requirements: Ability to work independently and as part of a team; operate effectively in fast-paced and stressful environments.
Physical Demands: Stand for prolonged periods (up to entire shift), bend, stoop, twist, kneel, reach, grip, and lift/push/pull items (minimum 25 lbs; up to 150 lbs with reasonable accommodations).
Environmental Tolerance: Comfortable in areas with second-hand smoke, bright lights, high noise, dust, and high traffic.
Communication & Cognitive Skills: Read, write, speak, and understand English; respond to visual and auditory cues; maintain accurate records; basic math skills (addition/subtraction).
Dexterity & Vision: Ability to handle items such as chips, money bags, computers; excellent vision including peripheral.
