Client Navigator
Community Medical Services (CMS) is seeking a Client Navigator to foster a safe, welcoming recovery environment for individuals overcoming opioid and substance use disorders. Under the supervision of the Clinic Manager, this role will combine security and client engagement, ensuring a positive experience for patients, staff, and visitors.

We're looking for someone who:
- Has the ability to stand, sit, and walk to patrol clinic and clinic grounds.
- Remains friendly, helpful, and courteous when interacting with clients, including those who are chemically dependent.
- Is comfortable enforcing policies, resolving conflict, and assisting with client altercations and crisis episodes.
- Can handle sensitive material while maintaining confidentiality to ensure compliance with HIPAA and 42 CFR, Part 2.
To thrive in this role, you must be able to:
- Patrol your assigned location to ensure the safety of clinic employees, clients, and visitors.
- Engage with clients to provide notice of rule infractions or violations; provide support to ensure violations are not repeated.
- Take initiative to ensure cleanliness of the grounds (i.e. picking up trash, notifying leadership of maintenance needs).
- Anticipate potential client issues, providing support for and redirection of unwanted behavior.
- Engage escalated clients by using verbal de-escalation techniques and encouraging them to speak with their counselor or engage in other support services as needed.
- Notify appropriate emergency personnel, police, or fire departments in cases of emergency.
- Submit daily reports of irregularities, including equipment or property damage, theft, the presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences, etc.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous safety, law enforcement, security, or customer service experience preferred
- Experience with substance use disorders preferred, but not required
- Excellent communication skills, including ability to respond to clients with patience, objectivity, and a non-judgmental attitude.
- Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card required
