About the Role
As an Armed Security Professional at Extrity Services, you will be crucial in ensuring the safety and security of our clients and their premises. Under the guidance of the Site Supervisor, Field Supervisor, and/or Regional Manager, you will implement security protocols, monitor activities, and respond to incidents with professionalism and attention to detail. Your role is essential in upholding Extrity Services' commitment to operational excellence and professionalism. This position is on our on-call Armed Security Team.
What You'll Be Doing
- Perform patrols and security checks focusing on intrusion prevention.
- Monitor entrances and exits, screen for prohibited items, and ensure overall security.
- Respond to alarms and incidents with appropriate actions based on situation assessments.
- Comply with Pennsylvania's armed security laws, maintaining high standards of operation.
- Employ de-escalation techniques to manage conflicts, prioritizing non-confrontational resolutions, especially in nightlife settings.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary, providing support and information.
- Adhere to the established dress code and maintain a professional appearance.
- Demonstrate punctuality, arriving on time for assigned shifts.
- Conduct yourself courteously and professionally with all clients, visitors, and colleagues.
- Enforce access control procedures as needed and maintain records accurately.
- Conduct regular patrols to detect and deter unauthorized activities.
- Maintain and report on the functionality of security equipment.
- Respond promptly to security incidents, following established protocols.
- Document incidents accurately, preparing detailed reports.
- Assist with investigations by providing timely information.
- Provide truthful and timely data, including incident reports and shift reports.
What You'll Bring
- An active and clear Illinois 40 Hour Armed security license.
- Experience in conducting patrols, surveillance, and managing security incidents.
- Knowledge of security equipment and its proper usage; school-setting familiarity a plus.
- Valid Driver's License (required)
- Understanding of emergency protocols and ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Familiarity with access control procedures and identification verification.
- Knowledge of first aid, CPR, and emergency procedures (not required).
- Excellent documentation and report-writing skills.
- Reliable transportation to and from work.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
