United Support Services, Inc., founded in 2003, is an innovative engineering and technology business headquartered in San Diego, CA. We have an exciting new opportunity and are currently looking to add a Supply Technician to our berthing and maintenance team, supporting the Hampton Roads, VA area. Duties and Responsibilities:
• Obtain, temporarily store, and issue all supplies for maintenance and repair
• Receive, inspect, process, store, issue, turn-in, and exercise control over all incoming supplies at the warehouse
• Conduct inventory checks and maintain accurate inventory records
• Research discrepancies and process inventory adjustments as required
• Operate automated equipment and material handling equipment
• Research part requests and backorder non-filled issue requests
• Review and evaluate purchase requests for complete and accurate information
• Track progress of materials and purchase requests through completion
• Maintain warehouse organization and follow established warehouse procedures
• Perform other qualified duties as assigned
Experience:
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Messing & Berthing Barge Experience preferred.
• One (1) year of experience utilizing a Warehouse Management System or performing warehouse duties required
• Experience with stock and inventory control preferred
• Knowledge of storage methods, warehouse control, and material handling techniques preferred
• Familiarity with manual and automated supply accounting systems, logistics principles, and warehouse operations preferred
• Knowledge of warehouse computer systems and supply center operations preferred
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have Security Clearance.
• Must have Drivers License.
• Must be able to pass a government background check
• Must be able to obtain a license to operate material handling equipment within 30 days of selection
• Must be detail oriented and organized
• Must be able to lift, carry, and transport materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders/stairs, and work in warehouse and industrial environments
• Must be able to work around loud noise and moving mechanical equipment
• Ability to safely traverse narrow passageways and work in shop environments required
