Dispatcher

Key tasks and responsibilities:

  • Handle customer service emails, rate emails, and answer/make phone calls.
  • Review daily domestic reports for shipment status and notify customers accordingly.
  • Maintain all communication via email alias.
  • Must always maintain professionalism with both team and customers.
  • Communicate with LTL carriers terminals and dedicated CSD teams for any pickups and/or delivery issues.
  • Ensure all shipments are properly billed.
  • Assist with or handle OS&D and coordinate to file claims following the SOP provided by the manager/supervisor.
  • Validate and process new orders received in TMS within minutes.
  • Monitor dispatched orders and communicate with customers about any pickups and/or delivery issues.
  • Other duties as the department develops.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience scheduling LTL trucking pick-ups and deliveries, dispatch, customer service, and rate quotations.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Candidate must be detail-oriented and enjoy a fast-paced, multi-tasking, customer service-minded environment.
  • Working hours will be 8:30 am- 5 pm, M-F unless otherwise agreed.
