Sr. Electronic Security System TechnicianDirect hire fulltime position for a Sr. Electronic Security System Technician in Arlington, TXThis role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, and servicing sophisticated security systems for enterprise-level clients. Responsibilities include system programming, project activation and commissioning, installation of field devices, and servicing high-end integrated security devices. Occasional travel to client sites and after-hours service may be required.This position offers significant impact on client security infrastructure and company growth. The candidate will work independently with minimal supervision, collaborate with project managers when needed, and interact directly with clients to ensure systems operate at peak performance. The ideal candidate is passionate about security technology, enjoys problem-solving in dynamic environments, and has extensive hands-on experience with enterprise-level security systems.Travel: 40% - 60% travel expected locally in the DFW (1-3 hour radius). You will receive a company vehicle with a car allowance.Duties and ResponsibilitiesService and maintain enterprise-level access control systemsTroubleshoot and repair intrusion detection systems (fiber and copper)Program and configure video management systems (IP-based and analog)Perform preventive maintenance on integrated security devicesRespond to emergency service calls and after-hours support requestsInstall and commission new security system componentsConduct system diagnostics and performance testingMaintain detailed service documentation and client reportsEnsure compliance with local electronic security codes and industry standardsCommunicate technical issues and solutions to clients and managementTravel to various client locations within the DFW area as requiredRequired Experience / SkillsMinimum 5+ years of experience installing and maintaining enterprise-level access control systemsMinimum 5+ years of experience with intrusion detection systems (IDS), fiber and copperMinimum 5+ years of experience with enterprise-level video management systems (IP-based and analog)Technical/electrical background with strong troubleshooting skillsSuperior problem-solving and communication skillsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionFamiliarity with local electronic security codes and industry standardsUnderstanding and ability to work safely in chemical plant environmentsValid driver's license and ability to safely operate company vehiclePhysical ability to work in various environments and perform installationsNice-to-HavesAccess Control System Vendor Certifications (Software House, Genetec, ProWatch, Lenel)Advanced networking and IT knowledgeTWIC Card holder • Experience in computer operating systems, network design and implementationPrevious experience in industrial or chemical plant security systemsEducationHigh school diploma or equivalent required.
