Job Summary -
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispatcher to coordinate the daily scheduling and dispatch of drivers, equipment, and crews across multiple job sites. This role is critical to ensuring efficient operations, timely deliveries, and clear communication between the field and office. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong multitasking skills, and understands the demands of construction, paving, or transportation scheduling.
Key Responsibilities -
- Schedule and dispatch drivers, trucks, and crews based on project needs and timelines
- Monitor real-time job progress and adjust dispatch schedules as needed to maximize efficiency
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the field and office for logistics updates and problem-solving
- Track equipment location, availability, and usage
- Maintain communication with drivers and crews to ensure timely arrivals, jobsite readiness, and accurate delivery instructions
- Coordinate with project managers, foremen, and superintendents for daily logistics planning
- Enter and update dispatch details in scheduling software or spreadsheets
- Respond to emergency calls or unexpected delays with quick, efficient solutions
- Maintain accurate records of dispatch logs, hours, materials delivered, and vehicle movement
- Monitor weather and traffic conditions that may affect scheduling or routing
- Enforce DOT, company, and safety compliance in scheduling practices
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications -

- 2+ years of experience in dispatching, logistics, or construction coordination
- Familiarity with truck and equipment types (dump trucks, lowboys, paving equipment, etc.) is a plus
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to handle multiple priorities under pressure
- Proficient with computers, phones, GPS tracking systems, and scheduling software
- Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and follow-through
- Knowledge of DOT regulations, load limits, and routing preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certifications are a plus

- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods: Occasionally
